Is working as a doctor easy or difficult?

I'd say being a doctor is extremely challenging, especially in a big city like Shanghai where hospitals are always overcrowded. The main reason is the emotional toll - you're dealing with life-and-death situations daily while maintaining professionalism. My cousin who's studying nursing often shares how exhausted she feels after night shifts at the pediatric ward, not just physically but mentally from comforting distressed parents. That being said, the sense of purpose seems to balance out the difficulties - she still finds it rewarding when patients recover. The responsibility is enormous, but so is the impact they can make.
