Should children have music lessons or classes at school?

I'd say music lessons should definitely be part of school curriculum, mainly because they help develop skills beyond just music. What I remember most is my high school math teacher, Mr. Wang, who always said music actually helped students with logical thinking and concentration. In my own experience, classmates who played instruments often seemed better at breaking down complex problems step by step. That being said, schools shouldn't force every child to master an instrument - some students might prefer visual arts or sports instead. The key is offering exposure to different creative outlets while letting students find what resonates with them.
