I'd say parents should definitely involve children in household tasks, because that's how they develop practical life skills naturally. The main reason is that responsibility isn't taught through lectures-it's built through small daily actions like tidying up or helping with meals. For example, my cousin in Hangzhou started giving her 8-year-old simple tasks like setting the table, and now the child actually reminds the parents when something needs doing. That said, the chores should match their age-you can't expect a primary school kid to cook dinner alone. But starting young means they grow up seeing contribution as normal, not as some special effort.
