I think we need gradual but practical changes rather than radical ones. What would really help is improving public transport infrastructure - that's something governments should prioritize. For example, in Shanghai where I live, if the metro system became even more extensive and reliable, more people would choose it over driving. I've noticed many colleagues still take taxis because some areas aren't well-connected, but if stations were closer to offices and ran more frequently, habits would change naturally. That said, individuals also need to adjust - like being willing to walk a bit further to stations instead of demanding door-to-door convenience. Small steps from both sides could make a real difference.
