Part 3a time when you changed your opinion about something important

Should teachers ask children's opinions in lessons or classes?

Band 7.5 sample answer

I definitely think teachers should ask for children's opinions in class. The main reason is that it helps students develop critical thinking skills early on, rather than just memorizing facts. What I remember most is my high school math teacher, Mr. Wang - he often asked us to explain our thought process when solving problems, which made us understand concepts deeper. Of course, teachers still need to guide the discussion and keep lessons on track, but giving students some voice makes learning more engaging. In Shanghai schools now, I notice more teachers using this approach compared to when I was younger, which I think is a positive change.
