Can mass tourism continue without restriction?

I don't think mass tourism can continue without any restrictions. The main reason is that popular destinations simply can't handle unlimited visitors - the infrastructure gets overwhelmed and the environment suffers. Take Jiuzhaigou, like I mentioned earlier - after it became so famous, the government had to limit daily visitor numbers because the fragile lakes and forests were getting damaged. That said, tourism is still important for local economies, so I think the solution is finding a balance - maybe through better visitor management systems or promoting less crowded seasons. In Shanghai where I live, we see this with the Bund area - it's always packed with tourists, but they've improved crowd control measures recently.
