I'd say imagination is important, but it's not the most valued quality by employers. What matters most is problem-solving ability, especially in fast-paced environments like Shanghai, where I work as a UI designer. Employers need staff who can adapt quickly and find practical solutions, not just come up with creative ideas. For example, in my job, when a client suddenly changed their project requirements, I didn't rely on imagination alone-I had to analyze the situation, adjust my design approach, and meet the deadline. That's the kind of skill employers prioritize. Of course, imagination has its place, especially in creative fields, but without the ability to execute and solve problems, it loses its impact.
