Personally, I feel arriving too early can sometimes create awkwardness, especially in social situations. For example, if you arrive an hour before a dinner party at a friend's house, it might put pressure on the host who's still preparing. I remember once, I arrived way too early for a colleague's gathering in Shanghai, and she was still in the middle of cooking and cleaning. It made me feel a bit intrusive, even though she was polite about it. At the same time, arriving a bit early for work meetings or appointments is usually appreciated, but in casual settings, timing matters more. So, it's about finding the right balance to respect others' time and space.
