Why do some children prefer not to work in groups?

Well, I think the main reason is that some children simply work better alone because they can focus more easily. Group work often means dealing with different opinions or waiting for others, which can slow them down. For example, I remember my high school math teacher Mr. Wang noticed some students performed much better on individual assignments than group projects-they could solve problems faster without distractions. That said, group work is still important for developing teamwork skills, but some kids just have a learning style that suits independent work better.
