I'd like to talk about the time I had to wake up really early for my first half marathon. It was two years ago, and I remember being both excited and a bit nervous. I had signed up for the race even though I had almost no running experience, just managing to run two or three kilometers at a time. Balancing my work as a UI Designer in Shanghai made it even more challenging, as I often worked late hours.

On race day, I woke up at 5 AM. The sun was just starting to rise, and the air was crisp. When I arrived at the venue, I was amazed by the energy around me-runners from all over were stretching, chatting, and buzzing with excitement. It was a lively atmosphere that really motivated me.

As the race began, I felt a rush of adrenaline. I started off too quickly, fueled by the thrill. But around the fifteen-kilometer mark, my legs started to feel heavy. I remember thinking, "I can't go on." Just then, I saw spectators cheering and volunteers handing out water. That moment reminded me of all the effort I put into my training. I decided I couldn't give up now.

In the end, I finished the 21 kilometers in just over two hours. Crossing that finish line felt incredible. This experience taught me the importance of persistence. It showed me that challenges can feel daunting, but with determination, I can push through. Since then, I've approached obstacles in my life with more patience and resilience.
