Do you usually prefer to read things carefully or quickly?

Well, it really depends on what I'm reading. For work documents or design briefs, I have to read carefully to catch all the details - just yesterday I was going through a client's requirements and spotted an important note I'd have missed if I'd skimmed. But for casual reading like news articles, I tend to go faster to save time.
