I'd say cities generally offer more advantages for younger people. The main reason is that urban areas provide better career opportunities and social connections, which matter more when you're starting out. For example, when I moved to Shanghai for work, I found so many networking events and tech meetups that helped me grow as a UI designer - things that just wouldn't be available in smaller towns. That being said, older people can benefit too, especially with better healthcare facilities in cities, but they might find the fast pace and noise more stressful. The convenience of everything being nearby is great at any age though.
