May the increasing use of technology in health care not always be positive?

Resposta modelo Band 7.5

Technology in healthcare definitely has its downsides. One major issue is that it can create a gap between doctors and patients. For example, in Shanghai, I've noticed that some hospitals rely heavily on automated systems for patient check-ins and consultations. While it's efficient, it can make patients feel like they're just numbers rather than individuals receiving care. I remember visiting a hospital once where the doctor barely looked up from the computer screen during the consultation-it felt impersonal and rushed. Having said that, technology does improve accuracy in diagnoses and treatments, especially in complex cases. So, while it's a double-edged sword, the key is finding a balance between efficiency and maintaining that human connection in healthcare.
