I think entertainment is quite essential in people's free time, but the degree varies depending on their lifestyle. For me as a UI designer in Shanghai, unwinding with a good film or book after work helps me recharge creatively. Like when I watched "The Pursuit of Happyness" recently, it wasn't just passing time - the story actually inspired me professionally. That said, I've noticed some colleagues who overdo entertainment, binge-watching shows till late, and their work suffers the next day. So it's about balance - entertainment should refresh you, not drain your energy. In fast-paced cities like Shanghai, people especially need that mental break, but they shouldn't let it consume all their free time.
