The main reason is that apps like Taobao and Meituan have trained us to expect instant service and endless choices - if something's not perfect, we just return it or leave a bad review. For example, my uncle's restaurant in Shanghai gets complaints sometimes about small things like the temperature of the tea, which people wouldn't have noticed before. That said, I don't think it's all bad - higher expectations push businesses to improve their quality, like how my uncle keeps refining his signature dish based on customer feedback.
