I think most people plan their holidays around two main factors - work schedules and weather. In China, for example, many office workers like me have to coordinate with our team's workload and project deadlines before taking time off. What I've noticed is that summer and national holidays like Golden Week become peak travel seasons because that's when most people have guaranteed time off. My trip to Jiuzhaigou was actually during a short gap between projects when my manager approved my leave. That said, some flexible workers or freelancers might choose shoulder seasons when destinations are less crowded, even if it means working extra hours before or after their trip. It's all about finding that balance between personal preference and practical constraints.
