Part 3a person you know who is good at learning languages

Is it necessary to speak more than one language to get a good job?

Bài mẫu Band 7.5

I'd say it definitely helps to know more than one language for career opportunities, especially in international cities like Shanghai. The main reason is that many companies here deal with global clients, so bilingual employees can bridge communication gaps. For example, at my design firm, colleagues who speak English fluently often get assigned to overseas projects because they can present concepts directly to foreign clients without relying on translators. That being said, for some local-focused jobs, strong technical skills might matter more than language ability. But overall, being multilingual gives you an edge in today's connected job market.
