Why do many children want to become a doctor?

I think many children are drawn to becoming doctors because they see it as a way to help people directly. In China especially, doctors are highly respected, so kids often hear positive stories about them from family or school. For example, my cousin-the one studying nursing-told me how even as a child she admired how doctors could ease people's pain. That sense of making a real difference sticks with them. Of course, some might also be influenced by parents who work in healthcare, but I'd say the main appeal is that combination of respect and the chance to do meaningful work. It's not just about status-it's about seeing the impact firsthand, like when my cousin comforted that little boy in the hospital. That kind of moment leaves a strong impression.
