Why do schoolchildren think that some teachers are boring?

I think the main reason is when teachers just stick to textbooks without making lessons interactive. Students lose interest because they feel like passive listeners rather than active participants. What I remember most is my high school math teacher, Mr. Wang - he always connected formulas to real-life situations, like using probability to explain lottery odds, which kept everyone engaged. In contrast, some teachers would just read from slides monotonously, and you could see students zoning out after 10 minutes. That teaching style makes learning feel like a chore rather than something meaningful.
