Yes, I believe it's quite important for children to learn how to work in groups because it prepares them for real-life situations, whether in school or their future careers. The main reason is that teamwork helps develop communication and problem-solving skills, which are essential in almost any field. For example, when I was learning video editing, I collaborated with a colleague on a project, and we had to divide tasks and share ideas to make it work.
