I think people do sometimes prioritize entertainment over meaningful things, especially with how addictive short videos and games can be these days. The main issue is when entertainment becomes a way to escape real responsibilities - like when my colleagues scroll through Douyin for hours instead of having proper conversations during lunch. That said, entertainment isn't bad in itself - it's about balance. Watching that inspiring film I mentioned earlier actually motivated me to work harder on my UI design projects. The key is choosing entertainment that adds value rather than just killing time.
