Why are some people more successful than other people?

I think one main reason some people are more successful is their ability to stay focused and persistent, even when things get tough. For example, my high school math teacher, Mr. Wang, always emphasized the importance of not giving up, especially when I was struggling with my grades. He taught me to analyze my mistakes and keep trying, which eventually helped me improve significantly.
