Well, I wouldn't say most people find celebrity news boring-actually, it's quite the opposite in Shanghai, where gossip about famous people spreads like wildfire on social media. The main reason is that it's light entertainment, a quick escape from daily stress, especially during commutes or coffee breaks. For example, my coworkers often chat about viral celebrity scandals while waiting for meetings to start-it's like a shared guilty pleasure. That said, I do think some younger audiences, like my younger cousin, are starting to find it repetitive because the stories often follow the same dramatic patterns. So while it's popular, the appeal isn't universal.
