Do you agree or disagree that children have to study too many subjects at school?

Personally, I feel that children today do have quite a heavy load of subjects to study. And that's largely because schools in China, like in Shanghai, aim to equip students with a broad foundation in both sciences and humanities. For example, my niece in Hangzhou studies not just core subjects like math and Chinese, but also music, art, and even basic programming. At the same time, I think it's important to leave room for children to explore what they're genuinely interested in. Too many subjects can sometimes overwhelm them and take away the joy of learning. So, while a comprehensive education is valuable, there should be a balance to ensure kids don't lose their curiosity and enthusiasm.
