The main reason is consumer awareness - people in Shanghai now actively choose eco-friendly options, which pushes companies to adapt. For example, my uncle's restaurant switched to biodegradable packaging last year after customers kept asking about sustainability. That said, smaller businesses still struggle with higher costs of going green compared to big corporations who can afford the initial investment.
