Should a friend be welcomed into a person's home at any time?

I don't think friends should expect to drop by at any time without notice. The main reason is that people's routines and privacy need to be respected. For example, I live in a small apartment in Shanghai, and as a UI designer, I often work late evenings. There have been times when friends showed up unexpectedly while I was in the middle of a project, and it really disrupted my focus. That said, I do appreciate spontaneity in friendships-like when Li invites me over for dinner, she always texts first, and it feels thoughtful. I think it's about finding a balance between maintaining closeness and respecting each other's space.
