I'd say videos are actually one of the most practical ways to pick up new skills these days, mainly because they show the process visually rather than just explaining it. For example, last year I wanted to learn basic video editing for work presentations, and YouTube tutorials were much clearer than written guides - seeing someone actually click through the software interface made all the difference. That said, some skills like teamwork or critical thinking are harder to learn just by watching, since they need real interaction. But for hands-on technical skills, video learning has become really effective, especially in my field as a UI designer where visual demonstration matters so much.
