Who do most young people discuss their opinions with?

Well, I'd say most young people tend to discuss opinions with their close friends first. That's largely because friends are in similar life stages, so they understand each other's perspectives better. For example, when I was training for that half marathon I mentioned earlier, I'd always talk through my doubts with my running buddy rather than my parents - she just got the struggle more. That said, family still plays a role for bigger life decisions where experience matters more than just shared interests.
