Will communities be able to maintain their food traditions in the future?

I believe communities will maintain their food traditions, but it might require more effort. The main reason is globalization, which brings new cuisines and sometimes overshadows local ones. For example, in Shanghai, where I live, you see a mix of traditional Shanghainese food and international options everywhere. While it's great to have variety, younger generations might lean towards trendy foods like sushi or burgers instead of local dishes like xiaolongbao. That said, I've noticed many families still pass down recipes and cooking methods, especially during festivals. So, while challenges exist, I think traditions will persist, especially when they're tied to cultural identity and family gatherings.
