别让“um”和“you know”拖累你的IELTS口语流利度

May 17, 2026

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: Um, I, like, usually watch TV, and, um, sometimes I go to, like, the park with my friends. You know.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: Actually, in my free time, I really enjoy watching TV series—especially mysteries. Sometimes, if the weather is nice, I go to the park with my friends. I find it’s a good way to relax after a busy week.

想减少“um”等口头语,不妨尝试用“well”, “actually”, “to be honest”, “I suppose”等表达来引出观点。

I, um, think it’s, like, important because, you know, people need to, um, relax.
Well, I think it’s important because people need time to relax and recharge. In my opinion, having some downtime helps people stay healthy, both physically and mentally.
