Can everyone easily grow their own fruit and vegetables?

I'd say not everyone can easily grow their own produce, mainly because urban living often limits the space and conditions needed. In Shanghai where I live, many people only have small balconies or windowsills - like my neighbor Mrs. Chen who I mentioned earlier - so they can only manage some herbs or small potted plants. That being said, even these small gardening efforts can be rewarding - my colleague grows mint leaves on her apartment balcony and always says picking fresh leaves for tea helps her relax after work. Of course, people with proper gardens in suburban areas have more options, but city dwellers have to be more creative with limited space.
