Should parents help their children decide what ambitions to follow?

I think parents should guide their children's ambitions rather than dictate them. The main reason is that young people often need exposure to different fields before discovering what truly motivates them. For example, when I was in high school, my parents encouraged me to explore both arts and sciences, which helped me realize my passion for design. That said, parents should avoid pushing too hard - I've seen classmates in Shanghai who were forced into medicine or law by their families, and many ended up resenting those careers. The key is providing opportunities while letting the child's own interests develop naturally.
