Personally, I feel technological progress will lead to some unemployment, but it's not as severe as people might think. The main reason is that while certain jobs disappear, new roles emerge to manage and develop these technologies. For example, in my field as a UI Designer, tools like ChatGPT have automated some repetitive tasks, but they've also created opportunities for designers to focus more on creativity and strategy. That said, industries relying heavily on manual labor, like manufacturing, might face more challenges. In Shanghai, I've seen factories adopting automation, which reduces the need for workers but increases demand for technicians and engineers. So, while there's a shift, it's more about adapting skills rather than mass unemployment.
