For example, in Shanghai where I live, you'll see crowds gathering in sports bars whenever there's a big match - like the local derby I mentioned earlier. That said, table tennis and badminton also have dedicated viewers, especially among older generations who grew up playing these sports themselves. The younger crowd tends to prefer the more fast-paced, globally popular games though.
