I'd say it's true for many people, especially in a city like Shanghai where there's always something new to aspire to. The main reason is that as people achieve one goal, they often set another, and this cycle keeps them wanting more. For example, in my work as a UI designer, I've noticed how colleagues who get promotions or better salaries still aim for higher positions or more luxurious lifestyles. It's not necessarily greed, but rather a natural drive for improvement. At the same time, I think it's important to balance ambition with contentment, because constantly chasing more can lead to stress or dissatisfaction. So, while wanting more is common, it's also crucial to appreciate what you already have.
