Part 3an event you went to that had some music that you didn't enjoy

Do you agree or disagree that playing music in shops or stores is an effective way of selling more products?

I'd say background music in shops definitely helps with sales, mainly because it creates a more pleasant shopping atmosphere. When customers feel relaxed, they tend to browse longer and buy more. For example, in Shanghai, I notice myself spending more time in Uniqlo stores when they play their soft instrumental music compared to silent clothing shops where I just grab what I need and leave quickly. That said, the volume and genre matter a lot - loud pop music like in my team-building event would probably have the opposite effect and drive customers away.
