Do you think human emotions are the same in all cultures?

人間の感情はすべての文化で同じだと思いますか?

バンド7.5 模範解答

I'd say core human emotions are universal, but how we express them varies across cultures. Take happiness for example - in China, we might show it more subtly through small gestures like sharing food, while in some Western cultures people might hug or cheer loudly. I noticed this when welcoming our new colleague at work - he was clearly happy but kept his emotions more contained at first compared to some foreign colleagues I've met. That said, the underlying feeling of joy was the same. Cultural norms just shape how openly we display what we feel inside.
