Part 3a time when someone you know found a clever solution to a problem

Do you think people can become very good at anything if they try hard enough?

バンド7.5 模範解答

I'd say people can get very good at most things with enough effort, but natural talent does play a role. The main reason is that while practice builds skill, some people just grasp certain concepts faster - like in design work, I've seen colleagues who pick up new software effortlessly while others need more time. Take my half marathon training - with consistent effort I improved, but some runners in my group had better natural endurance from the start. That said, hard work often closes the gap over time, and passion can compensate for initial disadvantages. In Shanghai's competitive job market, I've noticed the most successful people combine both persistence and some innate ability for their field.
