Yes, culture definitely shapes how people express opinions. In China, for example, we tend to be more indirect when disagreeing with someone, especially elders or superiors at work. I notice this in my design team meetings - junior designers often phrase critiques as suggestions rather than direct objections. That said, younger generations in Shanghai are becoming more outspoken, influenced by global work culture. But even then, there's still this underlying respect for hierarchy that affects how blunt we can be.
