Does moving from cities to the countryside benefit society?

I'd say moving to the countryside can benefit society, but it really depends on the situation. The main advantage is that it helps reduce overcrowding in big cities like Shanghai, where I live - the metro during rush hour is unbearable. For example, some of my colleagues who work remotely have moved to nearby towns with better air quality and lower rents. That being said, the countryside often lacks good hospitals and schools, which creates a difficult trade-off for families. So while it's a positive trend for some individuals, the infrastructure needs to improve for it to work on a larger scale.
