Part 3a time when you changed your opinion about something important

Does society need more people who aren't afraid to express unpopular opinions?

バンド7.5 模範解答

I'd say society does need more people who voice unpopular opinions, but it depends on their intentions. The main reason is that constructive criticism helps institutions improve-like when my high school math teacher Mr. Wang challenged our textbook's outdated examples, which actually made the lessons more practical. However, in Shanghai's design industry, I've seen colleagues dismiss client feedback just to be contrarian, and that just creates tension without solving anything. The key difference is whether the opinion aims to fix problems or just to stand out.
