Part 3a place you like going to that is quiet

How many quiet places are there nowadays compared with in the past?

バンド7.5 模範解答

Honestly, I think quiet places are becoming much harder to find these days compared to the past. In Shanghai especially, with all the construction and crowded public spaces, even parks like Fuxing Park-which I mentioned earlier-can get quite busy on weekends. The main reason is simply urban density-more people means fewer peaceful spots. For example, even libraries here often have chatter or phone notifications breaking the silence. That said, there are still some hidden quiet corners if you know where to look, like small independent cafes in the French Concession area. But overall, you really have to make an effort to find them now, whereas before they were just part of daily life.
