Part 3a time when you encouraged somebody to do something that he or she didn't want to do

In what situations do parents need to encourage their children to do something?

バンド7.5 模範解答

I'd say parents need to encourage their children when they're facing self-doubt, especially in areas where effort can make a real difference. For example, when I was in high school, my math grades were stuck in the seventies, and I started to doubt my abilities. My parents didn't focus on the scores but encouraged me to keep practicing and seek help from my teacher, Mr. Wang. That support helped me gradually improve, and I realized progress often comes from persistence, not just natural talent. So, I think parents play a key role in helping kids see that effort matters, especially when they're feeling discouraged.
