What are some personal qualities of a good group leader?

I think a good leader needs to be both decisive and approachable. The main reason is that teams need clear direction, but members also need to feel comfortable sharing ideas. For example, in my UI design team in Shanghai, our project manager always makes quick decisions when we're stuck, but she also holds weekly feedback sessions where anyone can speak up. That balance keeps projects moving while encouraging creativity. Of course, being too friendly can sometimes make it hard to enforce deadlines, so there's a careful line to walk.
