What kinds of places do people from your country go to for a holiday or vacation?

Well, in China, I'd say domestic travel is still the most popular choice for holidays. Many people visit scenic spots like Jiuzhaigou - similar to my own trip - or historical cities such as Xi'an and Hangzhou. The main reason is convenience - no visas needed and good transport links. For example, from Shanghai, you can reach Hangzhou's West Lake by high-speed train in just an hour. That being said, more young professionals are starting to explore overseas destinations like Thailand or Japan when they have longer vacations, as flights have become more affordable recently.
